Count Down

a recent quote to land in my e-mail box struck me with it’s simple life advice,  ” learn everything you can,  anytime you can,  from anyone you can…”.  this statement is so true and applicable to my last year  where lessons of yoga came not from the mat but directly from my kids,  their therapists… and my therapists!  one doctor in particular emphasized the importance of having something you had to do everyday,  something you had to be responsible for ( or someone).  especially when it seems you have no resources available to you to get to that daily purpose.   at the time i dived into a spring cleanse to jolt my system and found out that not thinking was the best thinking.  jenn had approached me before about a collaboration and what then seemed so daunting now took on the definition of being my focus,   a daily positive purpose.

why mexico as the first experience shakti destination??  too many glorious reasons to count.  it was fortuitous that both jenn and i have had the past opportunity  to love tulum.  the mexican/mayan people are beautiful,  gracious and infectious.  it is rich with history and truly alive with spirit.  in my head,  i’m finding any reason i can to return.  we’re lucky to be based in texas where traveling to mexico is quite easy and affordable.

“learn anything you can….”   a big thanks to jenn for helping me keep it real.  while throwing ideas back and forth to each other about this retreat,  my zealousness wanted to put all participants on a raw food cleanse!   jenn kicked my ass back into the original and core purpose of the vacation.  to have limitless fun.  her response?  ….”but what about all that great mexican beer? “.

counting down the months,  weeks,  days…..
